The Anfield natives’ record for success can rival any team. They have also returned to their prolific winning ways in recent years with manager Jurgen Klopp awakening the sleeping giant.

The Merseyside outfit had endured a quieter period in their prosperous trophy history before Klopp took over in 2015. Liverpool have won the English top-flight trophy 19 times

Liverpool have held aloft the English top-flight trophy 19 times throughout the club’s storied history. But only once have the Reds won the Premier League title since joining the division in its debut season in 1992/93. Klopp ended Liverpool’s 30-year wait for another top-flight trophy in the 2019/20 season.

Only Manchester United have won the English top-flight more often than Liverpool with 20 titles to date. While the Reds have also lifted the second-tier crown on four occasions and not since 1961/62.

Liverpool have also held aloft the FA Cup eight times to date, making them the third-most successful team in the competition’s history. Klopp ended a barren run for the Anfield outfit in the tournament in 2021/22. The Reds had not won the world’s oldest national football competition since 2005/06.

Liverpool’s success has stretched into Europe, as well, with only Real Madrid (14) and AC Milan (7) winning more European Cup/Champions League trophies. The Reds have triumphed in UEFA’s elite competition six times to date. Klopp returned the Merseyside club to the top in Europe during 2019.

The Anfield natives have held the trophy aloft a record nine times to date with their most recent triumph coming in 2021/22. Klopp ended the Reds’ 10-year wait to win the trophy after beating Chelsea on penalties.

As well as conquering UEFA’s elite club competition, the European Cup/Champions League, Liverpool have triumphed in the European governing body’s secondary competition three times. The Reds last won the tournament now known as the Europa League in 2000/01 whilst it was called the UEFA Cup.

They won the title in their first appearance in 1977 before losing the UEFA showcase clash in 1978 and 1984. But Liverpool have since won the trophy three times during the 21st century so far.

Liverpool have competed in the FIFA Club World Cup twice following their Champions League titles in 2005 and 2019. The Reds also reached the final of the 2005 edition before losing 1-0 to Sao Paulo in Yokohama, Japan. But Liverpool won the trophy by beating Flamengo in 2019 in Al Rayyan, Qatar.
