Liverpool secured all three points against Fulham in dramatic fashion as the Reds scored two late goals to win 4-3 at Anfield.

Here’s how Liverpool’s players rated against the west London side, with Jurgen Klopp’s side maintaining their incredible winning record at home in the Premier League.

Defence

Caoimhin Kelleher: 5 – Handed his first Premier League start since May, Caoimhin Kelleher unfortunately suffered one of his worst performances in a Liverpool shirt. Despite being lauded as ‘world-class’ by Pep Lijnders, the Irish shot-stopper was poor between the sticks with Adrian watching on from the bench.

Trent Alexander-Arnold: 9 – Having scored the equaliser for Liverpool against Manchester City, Trent Alexander-Arnold raised the quality up to 11 this afternoon with a sensational free-kick before sealing the winner in emphatic fashion.

Virgil van Dijk: 6 – Didn’t have much to do but the Liverpool captain could have done more to assert his aura on the game, with Fulham doing well to score their three best chances when given the opportunity.

Joel Matip: 5 – Harry Wilson was allowed to punish his former club after being found by Antonee Robinson inside the area, and Joel Matip’s poor marking allowed the American defender to find the former Liverpool wonderkid. Attention will now turn to whether the Cameroonian is fit to play over the festive period having come off injured.

Kostas Tsimikas: 6 – Kostas Tsimikas has made the left-back position his own in recent weeks, yet the defender was made to look silly when Bobby Decordova-Reid towered over the Greek international to power Fulham ahead. Thank goodness for Trent Alexander-Arnold.

Midfield

Dominik Szoboszlai: 6 – The Hungarian international was strangely brought off early by Jurgen Klopp, yet Dominik Szoboszlai should have seen it coming as the midfielder was far from his best against Fulham this afternoon.

Alexis Mac Allister: 8 – Alexis Mac Allister saw Trent Alexander-Arnold’s free-kick and said ‘hold my beer’. The Argentine scored his first goal for Liverpool with a 30-yard piledriver, and the midfielder enjoyed a brilliant display in midfield for the Reds.

Ryan Gravenberch: 6 – Given the start over the likes of Curtis Jones, Ryan Gravenberch failed to really live up to expectations despite the other midfielders in the starting XI, with Phil Thompson criticising the Dutchman’s fitness pre-match.

Attack

Mohamed Salah: 5 – Another world-class player who failed to do much today was Mohamed Salah, with the winger missing out on the chance to score his historic 200th goal for Liverpool this afternoon. However, the attacker’s late assist for Wataru Endo set the Reds on their way to three huge points.

Darwin Nunez: 6 – A new hairstyle for Darwin Nunez yet the Uruguay striker failed to live up to much today at Anfield. It was a frustrating day at the office for the attacker, who couldn’t do much with the few chances he was given.

Luis Diaz: 5 – After some electric performances in recent weeks, Luis Diaz simply failed to turn up today against Fulham, with the winger lucky not to have been taken off early by Jurgen Klopp.

Subs

Joe Gomez: 5 – Allowed Trent Alexander-Arnold to play in midfield but ultimately did little to help Liverpool to any points.

Cody Gakpo: N/A

Ibrahima Konate: N/A

Wataru Endo: 7 – Liverpool needed a hero when all seemed lost, and Wataru Endo did just that with his first goal for the Reds in seriously impressive fashion.
