Jurgen Klopp has lauded Mohamed Salah as one of the best players the Liverpool manager has ever coached in his career.

The Egyptian winger joined the Anfield side in 2017 for £34m and has since become one of the best attackers in world football and a bonafide legend for Liverpool.

And Klopp has today lauded the winger as one of the best players the German manager has ever coached, with Salah one goal shy of hitting 200 goals in all competitions for the Reds.

Indeed, Salah will go down as one of Liverpool’s greatest-ever forwards and the Premier League’s best African player, and Klopp had nothing but praise for the attacker.

Klopp said when asked about where Salah ranks in the players he has managed: “He is right up there, a player with his numbers I am not sure I will ever coach again.

“From the first talks we had to them now as a man exceptional great, an all-time great. Been blessed to have a few good ones but he is right up there.”

Salah has been simply one of the most dangerous players in world football since making the move to Liverpool six years ago, and Klopp has been integral to this success.

The 31-year-old attacker has flourished under the former Borussia Dortmund manager at Anfield, and Salah would not be where he is now without Klopp’s guidance and off-the-field decisions.

Alongside Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino, Salah established himself as one of the best attackers Liverpool fans have seen this century.

And if the winger is to leave next summer, Salah will depart a hero of Anfield, and one that Klopp has helped create during his tenure on Merseyside.
