Jurgen Klopp looked to be delighted with Liverpool’s comfortable 4-0 win over LASK on Thursday.

It was a good night for the Reds, who booked their place in the last-16 of the Europa League, sailing through as group winners.

After the game, Klopp was full of praise for his side. Youngsters Jarell Quansah and Conor Bradley got a special mention, as Jurgen revelled in a job well done.

And following his media duties, Liverpool’s official X account captured the mood of the Reds’ boss, sharing a changing room selfie of Klopp beaming alongside two-goal hero Cody Gakpo.

Grinning from ear to ear as he peers over Gakpo’s shoulder, the 56-year-old looks utterly thrilled.

Cody himself is in good spirits too, no doubt enjoying the accolades from his manager after an influential display. Brilliant to see.

Jurgen thrilled with job well done

A 4-0 win, top spot sealed and – perhaps most importantly – no injuries to contend with. No wonder Klopp was happy last night.

There was some mild concern over Ibrahima Konate’s early withdrawal. But with the manager confirming that it was a planned substitution, those worries were eased, too.

So, Liverpool should head into Sunday’s Premier League clash with Fulham full of confidence.

There will of course be the lingering concern that we’ll end up really missing Alisson Becker, but following a dominating display last night, Caoimhin Kelleher looks ready.

It’s now ten wins out of ten for Liverpool at Anfield this season, and although that record will end at some stage, it shouldn’t be this weekend.

With three games in seven days, Klopp is going to need all of his available players. That’s why last night will have delighted him so much. Those who aren’t usually in the starting XI showed that they are capable of stepping up.

Fulham, Sheffield United and Crystal Palace are all very winnable games for Liverpool, but all come with some peril, too.

The Reds won’t be complacent, but Jurgen’s smile suggests that he and his team are in a great place right now.
